ISPR Responds Strongly to Indian Army Chief Statement on Pakistan

Pakistan’s military media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), has issued a strong response to recent remarks made by Indian Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi, describing them as provocative and irresponsible.

According to ISPR, the Indian Army Chief in a recent interview suggested that Pakistan must decide whether it wants to remain part of geography and history, a statement that has drawn sharp criticism.

In its response, ISPR emphasized that Pakistan is already an important and recognized nuclear state on the global stage, firmly rooted in the geography and history of South Asia.

The statement further noted that such remarks reflect a persistent inability within Indian leadership to accept Pakistan’s existence, even after more than seven decades since independence.

ISPR added that this mindset demonstrates arrogance and a narrow, militaristic outlook that has repeatedly pushed South Asia toward conflict and instability.

The military’s spokesperson also stated that threatening to erase a sovereign nuclear neighbor from the map is neither strategic signaling nor diplomatic pressure, but rather an indication of dangerous thinking.

It concluded that responsible nuclear states must exercise restraint and strategic maturity, warning that such rhetoric could undermine regional peace and stability.
